## FAQ

**What is a mobile proxy?**
A mobile proxy routes your internet traffic through a real mobile device
connected to a cellular network (4G/5G). Websites see a genuine mobile IP
address, the same type used by real smartphone users, which makes mobile
proxies significantly harder to detect and block than datacentre or
residential proxies.

**How are these mobile IPs different from shared proxy pools?**
Most mobile proxy providers use shared IP pools sourced from SDK networks:
apps that pay users to share their phone's connection. Those IPs are shared
among thousands of customers simultaneously. Simply Proxies runs on its own
physical devices with dedicated SIM cards on real UK mobile networks, so each
connection goes through an actual phone on a real cellular network, with
consistent performance and genuine UK mobile IPs.

**How does the free trial work?**
You receive 500 MB of free proxy traffic when you sign up. No credit card is
required. The trial is valid for 14 days from your first proxy connection.
When it runs out or expires, add credit to your wallet to continue.

**Do purchased credits expire?**
No. Purchased credit never expires: buy 10 GB and use it over a day or over a
year. Only the free 500 MB trial expires (14 days from first connection).

**How does the first top-up bonus work?**
Your first top-up earns a 50% credit bonus. For example, buy the 20 GB Growth
bundle and receive 30 GB, an effective rate of £1.13/GB. Once per account, on
the first purchase only.

**Why is there no "unlimited" plan?**
"Unlimited" mobile proxy plans are quietly bounded by the underlying SIM's
real data allowance; the marketing just hides a fair-use cap. Transparent
per-GB pricing means you only pay for what you actually use.

**Which protocols are supported? Are sticky sessions available?**
Both HTTPS and SOCKS5, both with full SSL/TLS support and valid certificates,
usable with the same credentials. Sticky sessions (pinning to one device, same
exit IP) work on both protocols and are included with every bundle at no
extra cost.

**Can I use these proxies for web scraping?**
Yes. Real mobile IPs are far less likely to be blocked than datacentre IPs.
They work with Python (requests, Scrapy, Selenium), Node.js (Puppeteer,
Playwright), cURL, and any tool that supports HTTP or SOCKS5 proxies.
